Mary Foster Morgan spent many summers in East Hampton, visiting her grandparents on their farm on Springs-Fireplace Road. Currently she is co-founder of Drawdown East End, a grass-roots, non-partisan effort focused on local solutions to reverse global warming. Inspired by the science of Project Drawdown, the group is developing replicable pilot projects and, in partnership with the community, bringing them to scale to achieve drawdown with all its many economic, health and security benefits.  A former co-leader of the East End Chapter of Citizens Climate Lobby, Mary and her husband Tom helped launch the East End Chapter of Slow Food in 2004. They live in Orient.
