JOBS

Environmental and green careers continue to be in-demand and the number of green jobs are on the rise. At the end of 2019, renewable energy saw a jobs boom across America, with nearly 3.4 million people working in wind, solar, efficiency and other clean energy fields. Although the Coronavirus pandemic has stalled this growth, Americans overwhelmingly support COVID stimulus funding for the clean energy industry, and more investment will create new jobs and opportunities. Millions of unemployed workers could still benefit from long-term opportunities related to clean energy, and Brookings has published a report analyzing how clean energy jobs can power an equitable COVID-19 recovery
