We post articles and other information created and provided by third parties that might benefit the public in connection with the challenges posed by climate change, by contributing to public education and informing the public of the many organizations and individuals actively working on climate matters. While it is our desire to keep the content on the Website current and to select reliable sources, climate change information develops rapidly.  Thus, it is not possible for us to guarantee that the materials contained or referenced on the Website are fully comprehensive or error-free. 

We explicitly disclaim any warranties and representations as to the accuracy, completeness, efficacy and non-infringement of any of the statements, opinions, recommendations, information and products of third parties contained on the Website. Nor do we recommend or endorse any content or the persons, companies, and organizations linked or referred to on the Website. By providing links to the creators of the content and products, we enable you to connect directly with the sources and make an independent evaluation.

We have no control over the contents of third-party websites, or resources referenced on the Website and are not able to independently investigate them or products listed on our Shopping page. CCR is based in the State of New York in the United States. We make no representation that the Website or websites to which the Website contains links can be accessed in all geographical locations. If you view the Website and/or access the content from any country other than the United States, you are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws. 

Donations to Climate Change Resources, Inc.

CCR is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charity, registered in New York State.  In order to make donations online to CCR, you must be 18 years of age or over. You must submit the contact and payment information requested on the Donate page, including your name, address, credit or debit card and email. By providing such information and clicking “Donate Now,” you represent that the information is complete and accurate; that you have the lawful right to provide such information to us for use in processing your donation; and that you are instructing us and our authorized vendors to collect the payments entered by you from the referenced credit or debit card. 

Billing to your credit or debit card occurs at the time of we receive notice of your donation or shortly thereafter. We do not retain the credit card information after the transaction is completed.

Purchases of Products

Our Shopping page contains a range of products that we have discovered or that have been recommended to us. We have not performed independent research into the claims made by them, including as to the accuracy of their product descriptions or the quality of their products. We welcome any reports from Website visitors on their experience with any items they purchase. 

If you see something of interest on the page, clicking the related link will take you to Amazon or the merchant’s own website, and any purchase you make will be processed by them directly, not through us. The merchants warrant to us that the cost of their products will not be increased by virtue of your connecting to them from the Website, but we may receive a commission that will be exclusively used to support our work.

Governing Law; Venue; Statute of Limitations

Please be aware that any personal information you transfer to us will be transferred to the U.S. and will be subject to U.S. law. By using this Website, participating in any activities related to this Website, and/or providing us with information from any other country, you consent to the transfer of your personal information to the U.S. and waive any claims that may arise under the local and national laws where you are located.

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of New York, U.S.A., without the application of its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute with respect to your use of the Website, including in connection with these Terms of Use, that we do not amicably resolve shall be heard only in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of said courts for that purpose.

You agree that, if we deem that your breach of any of these Terms of Use will cause us irreparable damage, we shall be entitled, without the obligation to post security, to apply in a court located in the State of New York for appropriate equitable remedies with respect to the breach, in addition to any other available remedies. 

You agree that any claim by you against us must be brought within one year from when the claim arose; any claims not brought by you within such period of time shall be deemed waived.

Miscellaneous

No waiver by us of any term or condition set forth in these Terms of Use shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or condition or a waiver of any other term or condition, and our failure to assert a right or provision under these Terms of Use shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

These Terms of Use (as they may be amended from time to time) constitute the entire agreement between you and us with respect to the Website.
