Ask a Scientist: Facing Unprecedented Realities

08/24/19

August 24, 2019
2 – 3:30pm
Governors Island, New York
What is it like to be a climate scientist directly confronting these stark realities every day in your work? What lessons about resilience—and courage—can we draw from the practice of climate science? What connections can we make across disciplines and other boundaries to help us face the climate crisis? Join Dr. Sonali McDermid to explore these questions and others on the social and psychological context for climate science. We will also hear her assessment of where climate science is advancing fastest and where it needs to catch up to what is happening in our world today.
